Character Description & Notes

Character Description: Carrie started out life lost and alone... Her life led one curve after another until she ended up curled into a ball on the side of a road at age 9. She heard the sounds of yet another engine, hoping it would stop but not daring to believe it would. When she heard the engine idle and the steps of a couple getting out of their Jeep to examine the half dead young girl, she fell into darkness. So her new life began, the life of a tribal. Tribals being so open to orphans naturally took her in and she quickly bonded with Talon, leader of his small camp, a stout well-to-do man of few words looking after his own. Standing faithfully behind him was his wife Sedona, mentor to Carrie, warm mother to all, and noted healer. Three days and four nights did she battle pneumonia in a quilted bed in their house until they said she was strong enough to walk. Once able, she was guided around the compound by Alia, her assigned bunk mate, in the girl's lodge. With her in this spacious barrack was Lily, Annabelle, Carol, and Becky. Lily was bit of a sourpuss commanding others as the eldest at age 17. There really was no need for her domineering ways at this summer camp and no one cared much for her demanding ways, but they were all sisters the same. Annabelle was her best friend and yet the two were nothing alike. She enjoyed crafts and high fashion magazines as if she was still in here suburban bedroom two years ago whereas Carrie enjoyed spending time outdoors at the nearby lake or else running with the boys in their play. Carol's story was likely more scarring as she kept to herself, quiet in the back putting others at more than arm's reach away, from fear she might be taken away again by the shadows. Becky was a small firecracker of nine years, always looking for fun and attention. Alia was Carrie's best friend for the longest time. Giggling as they did everything together: playing, eating dinner, and tom-foolery like stealing the boys' dirt bikes to chase sheep in the fields. Sitting atop tree limbs to gossip, hiding Lily's diary in play. Wasn't for a few years would her world fall apart. Alia lost her life to an age old tripwire claymore set over a decade back in defense. Heart filled with pain, each evening passed seeing her home for another day, still alone. With packed belongings she did take a dirt bike one noon, but did not return. She ended up in a small sub of Night City, almost disjointed from the rest of the world, where she spent years getting to know the lay of the land. She spent most her time reading to the kids there or else riding her Cyberbike in the evenings.
